Who We Are
A Family Company Built on Real Manufacturing
M.D. Viola Macchine is a family-run company with more than 40 years of experience in the hygiene converting sector. Even as we have grown, we have kept a direct and hands-on approach that allows close dialogue with customers and fully tailored solutions.
Our mechanical workshop allows us to produce almost all of the components used on our machines. We can manufacture glue tanks, hot melt applicators, S.A.P. dispensers and many of the accessory units required for next-generation machinery.

Our History
A Long Industrial Path
The company’s roots go back to 1968, with a history that evolved from precision mechanical manufacturing into hygiene converting technology and continuous innovation.
1968
The company origins date back to 1968 with Viola Giorgio Officine Meccaniche, initially active in precision mechanical components.
1980–1990
The first Viola Baby Diaper Machine was developed in 1980, followed by the first Adult Diaper Machine in 1987 and the first Light Incontinence Machine in 1990.
1999–2004
The current facility in Valle Salimbene was built in 1999, and in 2000 the company was rebranded as M.D. Viola Macchine S.R.L. The first full servo line arrived in 2004.
2006–2008
The company expanded its product portfolio with the first Adult Pants machine in 2006 and the first Baby Pants machine in 2008.
2018–2022
Recent years brought new patents, VR-based ergonomic experimentation and new multi-axis machining centers to increase production capability and quality.
Today
Today M.D. Viola Macchine continues to combine family ownership, internal production strength and ongoing innovation in hygiene machinery.
